BR 1-11: The Frog Prince

This story is about a young princess and a frog prince.

Once upon a time, there was princess Poppy was furious. Because her father decided that she gets married to Prince Humperdink. She doesn't like Prince Humperdink. She thought "He's smelly and smug and slimier than a frog and he has big teeth."

One day, she played with golden ball in near a pond. She slipped and fell face-first into the pond. Her beautiful golden ball flew out of her hands with a loud splash, it disappeared into the deep, dark pond. At that time, the frog got out of the pond and he said "Princess Poppy, let me help you." "Thank you." said Poppy. "But you must promise me something first, Promise that you'll let me live in your room. I want to eat from your plate, drink from your glass and sleep on your silken pillow." said frog. "In your dreams." thought Poppy. But out loud she said "I promise." The frog took her golden ball and gave her it. She snatched up the ball and raced back to the palace. The frog said "What about your promise?" But she was already too far away to hear. Poppy arrived back just in time of dinner. Just then, the frog entered the palace. She surprised and tried let the frog go back to outside. But her father said "The frog is our guest. Help yourself to the dinner." The frog ate dinner and "I want go to bed." Then stretching out her arm, she picked up the frog by one foot. She dropped the frog in the darkest, most distance corner of her room, before climbing into bed. "But princess Poppy, you promised I could sleep on your silken pillow." She was very angry, she went to the frog, picked him up and threw him out of her window. There was a long silence, followed by a loud splat. She suddenly realized what she'd done. She was horrified.

Outside, the frog was lying sprawled on the palace garden. She picked him up, "Are you all right?" she asked. "Yes." croaked the frog. "I didn't mean to hurt you, I'm so sorry." said Poppy and she kissed him. There was a loud crash of thunder, followed by a shower of sparks. The frog had vanished. In his place stood a handsome young prince. The prince said "If you promise not to throw me out of the window again...princess Poppy, will you marry me?" "I will." said Poppy and she did.
I think this story is cute! But I can't kiss the frog XD

  1. Hi Ryoko,

Is this book review entirely original? That is, is everything not in quotations in your own words?

    Please let me know.

    Cheers, PB
